Hello, this is Lethalnightmarez posting a final update for my friend, whom you know as LucerasNight. I meant to do this sooner but it’s been difficult for me to cope with the situation, and it’s still difficult to find the right words to tell you. Maybe straightforward is the best. *takes a deep breath*

LucerasNight passed away two weeks ago, on Sunday the 15th of February at the age of 21. I promised to her family not to go into detail about the how and why, but we can assume her death was instant and she didn’t suffer.

She loved this community. I remember her bugging me about her newest contacts on this site and showing me her favs until I just felt like running away whenever she said “deviantART”. Especially during the first year she talked about her being a dA addict. She would literally spend days here, sitting at the university, looking at your art, celebrating each of your kind comments and clicks. Thank you for all those. Thank you for pushing forward her creativity and skill. You warmed her heart and it’s warming mine to see how much her work was and is appreciated here.

As for this gallery, I’ll just leave it as it is if her family doesn’t tell me to delete it. I think it’s a good way to leave some sort of memory of her on the web.
I kindly ask you not alter, repost, or publish her artwork in any way. Each of her pictures is connected with a huge mass of different moods, feelings and special moments of her life, of which I could luckily share some. Please do not take them away by stealing her artwork. (Sorry for sounding so cheesy. I just don’t know how to say it in another way, at least not in English.)

If there’s anything you want to tell her friends and family or if there’s just anything you want to say, feel free to comment here. I’ll make sure your words will reach the ones who love and miss her. Those of you who speak and/or understand German can also share her brother’s obituary on youtube.
